Chamber of Commerce

The Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce works to support, promote and retain local business and also handles public relations for the city and promotes community events.

The chamber is located at 515 Main St. and hosts membership luncheons the first Tuesday of every month at either the community center at 713 Main St., behind city hall, or the Cowan Events Center at Walnut and Cappella. The group has about 125 members, and hired Cindy Panza as executive director in October 2007.

Jerry Vaughan, previous director, resigned his post in June, citing a need for change in executive leadership.

For the first time this year, chamber officials are hosting the city’s annual Fair Daze Sept. 5-6.
They also sponsor the Taste of the World, which is scheduled for Nov. 1. The event includes local vendors and caterers, who supply tasting samples of their products. The chamber sells tickets to this event.  Contact the chamber at 816-847-2627.
