1 What are your job duties?
As the executive director for Carondelet Health, I provide the overall leadership for the Foundations at St. Mary’s & St. Joseph hospitals. Our goal is to raise funds to help support the mission of providing compassionate, quality health care for the body, mind and spirit, with a special concern for the poor.

2 How long have you been in the position?
Two months.

3 What are your priorities at the position?
St. Mary’s has just recently announced a $1 million capital campaign to renovate and upgrade their operating rooms. This will allow us to schedule more surgeries, reduce patient wait times and accommodate more complicated surgeries. It is important for me to develop relationships in the Eastern Jackson County community and build awareness and support for this project.

4 Has the job been different than you imagined it would be?
No, I have spent my entire career in health care and the past 10 years in philanthropy, so I knew what to expect.

5 What aspect do you like the most about the job?
Working for an organization that has a wonderful mission, while leaving no one behind. St. Mary's supports the community in this way.
