Ryan Lee completed 20 of 27 passes for five touchdowns and 323 yards in leading visiting Grandview to a stunning 48-21 Class 4 District 14 victory over Grain Valley Friday night.

A 20-point second quarter for a 27-7 halftime lead propelled the Bulldogs to the victory in the first meeting between the teams.

The loss was the second for Grain Valley in district play. The Eagles will end the season next Thursday in a home contest with Harrisonville with the Missouri Valley Conference West title at stake.

Ryan Nace ran 22 times for 102 yards for the Eagles ((6-3). Darion Moore was another big Grandview offensive weapon with 23 carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Roney Reaws caught four passes for 126 yards and one TD.

Riley Williams scored on runs of 4 and 1 yards and caught a 32-yard pass from Dominick Macourbrie in scoring all three Grain Valley touchdowns.

Two fourth quarter touchdowns enabled Grandview to put the game out of reach.

LEE’S SUMMIT WEST 47, RUSKIN 12: Lee’s Summit West is in the state playoffs for the seventh consecutive year.

Darnay Session and Marcus Strickland each scored two touchdowns and Luke Knott passed for one and ran for another in leading the Titans to an easy Class 5 District 9 victory at Ruskin.

West (8-1) coasted after scoring 21 first-quarter points.

ODESSA 50, VAN HORN 12: Host Odessa was too much for Van Horn, bolting to an easy Class 3 District 15 victory.

The loss assured Van Horn (2-7, 0-2 district) of not qualifying for the playoffs.

ROCKHURST 35, LEE’S SUMMIT NORTH 7: Undefeated Rockhurst clinched a state playoff berth with an easy Class 6 District 8 victory at North. The Hawklets (9-0) have prevailed in all 13 meetings with the Broncos.

North (5-4, 1-1 district) can also qualify for the playoffs by triumphing next Friday at Raymore-Peculiar.

RICHMOND 49, OAK GROVE 13: Undefeated Richmond was too much for Oak Grove, rolling to an easy Class 3 District 16 victory. The victory clinched a state playoff berth for the 9-0 Spartans.

Oak Grove (6-3) can also qualify for the playoffs with a victory at Odessa next Thursday.
