The city of Independence will again offer the IndeBus service for holiday shoppers.

Four, 12-passenger buses will run two routes to the four main shopping centers along 39th Street and Jackson Drive. The shuttle service, offered at no charge, will run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. Riders and visitors to Independence may board the shuttle at one of four shopping districts: The Pavilions at Hartman Heritage, Independence Center, Independence Commons and Bolger Square. Small signs will indicate the location of the stops at each shopping center.


Six hotels also will participate with pickup sites for guests: Comfort Inn and Suites, 19751 E. Valley View Parkway; Holiday Inn Express, 19901 E. Valley View Parkway; Staybridge Suites, 19400 E. 39th Place South; Hilton Garden Inn, 19677 E. Jackson Drive; Fairfield Inn by Marriott, 18700 E. 37th Terrace South; and Residence Inn by Marriott, 3700 S. Arrowhead Ave.


IndeBus also will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 18 and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 19. The shuttle will offer extended hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26. Visit www.independencemo.org for more information.
