William Chrisman High School was showcased recently at the Independence Barnes and Noble.

The store donated a percentage of sales to Chrisman’s library when patrons mentioned the school, but the school was also represented in a much bigger way as well.

The store donated a percentage of sales to Chrisman’s library when patrons mentioned the school, but the school was also represented in a much bigger way as well.


Clubs, students and staff spent a large portion of the day at the store, helping to promote the school as well as the importance of reading. Chrisman’s ACE Club had a table and many other groups performed or did a demonstration that helped promote some of the school’s activities. Groups represented included – Stomp Out Bullying, Peer Mediation, TATU, SWOB, Nutra-Net, Reptile Club, Garden Club, Chess Club and the FBI (First Bots of Independence).


Members of the cheerleading squad football team and girls basketball team also showed up to help promote the Bears.
