A spring blizzard moving through the northern plains and the state of South Dakota has forced the postponement of Game 6 of the Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup first round series between the Missouri Mavericks and Rapid City Rush.
The game was originally scheduled for 6:35 tonight (7:35 Mountain time) at the Rushmore Plaza, with Game 7, if necessary, scheduled for Wednesday, but with the treacherous road conditions, high winds, freezing temperatures and snow accumulations in Rapid City, each game has been pushed back one day.
Game 6 will now take place Wednesday and a potential Game 7 will take place on Thursday. Both games will face off at 7:35 p.m. Central time (6:35 p.m. Mountain) at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The Mavericks currently lead the best-of-seven series 3-2, and the winner will advance to the conference semifinals to face the Allen Americans with Game 1 of that series scheduled for April 14.
