Charlette Lucille Fergerson Cornwell was born July 14, 1938, to Homer and Marie (Heizman) Fergerson of Warsaw, Mo. Her siblings are Robert, Billy, Percilla, Arthur, Donna, Jimmy, Barbara and Wanda. Charlette was united in marital joy with Melvin Merle Cornwell on June 14, 1958. They were the parents of a baby girl, Shawn Lee, who joined her heavenly father shortly after her birth in 1967. Charlette was employed by Mobile Oil for 37 years. She enjoyed her work and was highly regarded by all who knew her and she continued to hold those friendships dear. She attended Englewood Assembly of God for many years working in the nursery and was honored as mother of the year in 1982. She was a beloved member of Pebble Creek Assembly of God. Her love of children truly exemplified the love of our heavenly father for all of his children.

Charlette was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Robert and Wanda. The passing of her baby daughter and beloved husband left pain only soothed by her deep, abiding faith. The grace of our Lord comforted her through the recent years by the love of her brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews and her entire family in Christ.

A deeply devout Christian, she loved her church family and was profoundly touched by God’s gift of those many brothers and sisters in Christ.
