The Community Services League, in partnership with TRCB-VITA-Independence Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, will provide income tax preparation and electronic filing for low income families at no cost. 

The service will be available at the 300 W. Maple Ave. in Independence on Fridays, 9:30 - noon and 1-3 p.m. from Feb. 6 until April 10. 

Sue Crumpton, executive director at CSL said in a statement: “We are very happy to be able to provide an ad-hoc site for people who need assistance with filing taxes. With the large increases in the numbers of people requesting all our services this year, we expect there are many people who will want to take advantage of this tax filing assistance.”
