A Lee’s Summit company plans to grow through a $428,000 bank loan under the Missouri Linked Deposit Program.

Liquid Soap Products, with 22 employees, makes environmentally friendly soap products. The loan will be used to buy more equipment and expand its production capacity.

The loan is through Commerce Bank, a frequent lendor to area businesses through the Linked Deposit Program, which gives borrowers a lower interest rate. The office of State Treasurer Clint Zweifel, who runs the program, says it has generated $70 million in loans, affecting more than 1,400 workers and farmers, since it began three years ago.
