The National Frontier Trails museum received 1,000 letters, diaries and correspondence in the larged donation since 1991

1,000 letters, diaries and correspondences that the library believes are in the collection. It is the largest collection the library has received since the initial donation the library received when
it opened in 1991.

2,700 first-person accounts that the library currently has in its collection. The accounts consist of the
letters, diaries and other correspondences of the time period.

10 months for staff and volunteers to examine and catalog the documents. They received the
documents in August and expect to be finished in May. The  documents are cataloged and entered into a database for researchers.
