Sidney B. “Jack” Yeagle, 82, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on October 26, 2008.

Sidney was born on April 9, 1926 in Marshall, Missouri to Francis and Nannie (Woodsmall) Yeagle. After high school, he entered the Merchant Marines and also served his country in the Army. He was united in marriage on July 2, 1949 to Dorothy L. (Hillebrenner). Sidney worked as a master mechanic for many years at Lake City Ammunition Plant. He also worked part time many years as a mechanic for Blue Springs Marine. Sidney enjoyed boating, fishing with his friends, and tending his garden to keep all his friends and neighbors in fresh tomatoes. Sidney took great pride in raising his grandsons, Chris and Shane. He was Presbyterian by faith and was a member of the ARARAT Shrine, Scottish Rite Temple, and Masonic Lodge # 337.

Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, F. M. Yeagle, William Yeagle, and sister, Susan Mae Crank.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Yeagle of the home; daughter, Jacqueline L. Miller of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Chris Miller & wife, Wendy of Fort Smith, AR, E. Shane Miller of Chicago, IL; great-grandchild, Myka Jade Miller of Fort Smith, AR.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, Blue Springs, 816-229-3276.
