A handful of presentations and staff reports are scheduled to take place at Monday night’s Independence City Council study session.


Presentations include an update from the NorthWest Communities Development Corporation, the Police Department’s annual awards and an annual report from the Public Health Advisory Board.


Staff reports include a video on the Weed and Seed program and an update on the Building a Healthier Independence initiative.


Council members also will meet in executive session about 45 minutes prior to Monday’s meeting to discuss litigation.


The study session starts at 6 p.m. inside the council chambers at City Hall, 111 E. Maple Ave. The meeting also is broadcast live on City 7 and on the city’s website.
