St. Mary’s outscored Summit Christian Academy over the final three quarters in the boys Crossroads Conference Showdown at Van Horn High School on Friday night.

Unfortunately for the Trojans, they still fell 71-66 in the fifth-place contest.

“The kids played hard,” St. Mary’s coach Carlos Paige said. “I am proud of them. We had 25 turnovers, but you have to live with them.”

Michael Thomason pumped in 17 points, Wade Johnson scored 14 and Sam Kenney added 12 to lead the Trojans (5-18, 3-8). Brett Rothaus had 18 points to power SCA.
