Q-5 with Scott Fullerton, the current president of the Blue Springs Rotary Club.

Scott Fullerton is the current president of the Blue Springs Rotary Club.

1 The Blue Springs Rotary Club is having its raffle this Saturday. Can you tell us a little about it?

We sell 375 tickets, includes a meal for two, unlimited cold beverages and the time of your life!  The winner gets $25,000 toward a car at Molle Chevrolet.

2 Aside from the obvious benefits of the raffle, what other benefits are there?

From the evening proceeds we fund $8,000 of college scholarships and $15,000-$20,000 of “checks” to local charities such as Community Services League, the Hope House, Boy Scouts, YMCA, etc.

3 How long have you been with the rotary and what’s your current title?

I am this year’s club president, and have been with the Blue Springs Rotary Club for about 10 years.

4 The Blue Springs Rotary Club was recently involved with the Haiti relief effort. How was it involved?

Jeanne Schmick, with Lifeflight Air, was going to Haiti on a medical mission trip.  After she spoke, it was hard to not hand over your wallet... she is truly a blessing and a life saver.

5 What are some upcoming events within or outside the Blue Springs Rotary Club that people might want to know about?

This Saturday morning, 11 a.m., we are helping Parks and Recreation with the annual Easter Egg Extravaganza at Rotary Park.
