FORT OSAGE FALLS: Hot weather greeted the Fort Osage girls golf team earlier this week.

The Indians fell to Belton 233-264 at WinterStone Golf Course Tuesday and participated in the Raymore-Peculiar Tournament Wednesday.

McKayla Henry shot 54 to gain medalist honors for Fort Osage against Belton. McHenry and Rhea Affolter totaled 89 and Breannah Henry and Elizabeth Hupp combined for a 116 in the Ray-Pec Tournament.

“I was very proud of the girls for finishing in such heat,” Fort Osage coach Joy Leslie said. “McKayla and Henry are showing improvement from last year and Rhea Affolter, Elizabeth Hupp and Ashley Baughner did well for their first ever competition. I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements that the girls are sure to make  throughout the season.”
