To what do you attribute your academic success? My academic success comes mainly from self-discipline and a love of learning. My high school was also a positive factor, providing me with superb teachers and challenging courses.
Who was the biggest influence on your studies? My parents, who have helped and supported me for 18 wonderful years, and my teachers, who both taught and inspired me with their dedication and encouragement.

What was your favorite activity in high school? Why? I’ll always remember AP English with Ms. Denney. Even though it was my most difficult class, my classmates were bright and had a compassion rarely found in average high school kids. I learned the most and had more fun in AP English than any other class my senior year.
What college do you plan to attend and why?
I plan to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. next year to study chemical engineering. MST has a great engineering program and is comfortably close to home, making it an ideal university for me.

What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now? In 10 years, I see myself researching advanced energy technology. I would like to help solve the energy crisis before it’s too late to avoid disaster.
