    Blue Springs South
    The Blue Springs South Speech and Debate Squad has competed at several tournaments over the last few weeks.
    William Chrisman Novice Tournament, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1
    • Congressional debate - August Miller, first place; Kimani Rose, third place.
    • Dramatic interpretation - Eli Salazar, second place.
    • Poetry - Leslie Haller, second place; Jackson Miranda, third place.
    • Prose - Myranda Soifua, first place.
    Truman High School Varsity Tournament, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1
    • Dramatic interpretation - Reuben Hoyle, third place.

    The Grain Valley High School Speech and Debate Squad recently competed at the Raymore-Peculiar Invitational Tournament Nov. 9 and 10.
    The following students received individual awards.
