It is so fun to write something like that because it made me feel like Oprah might feel during her famous Oprah’s favorite shows. I wish I could give everyone one of everything like she did! That would be a hoot.
This week I promised to write about my favorite things (or at least my favorite things right now) for your skin. This list will be of products and services. A bit different than last week, but this is a wonderful time of the year to address your skincare needs.
    1. Massage therapy. How can a massage be good for your skin you might ask? Massaging helps to bring nutrients and blood flow to your cells. The oils are intensely moisturizing to dry skin and the combination of massage lotion or oil and manipulation help to loosen and remove dead, flaky skin, leaving you with a healthy glow. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, massage can soothe, loosen, stimulate and relax various parts of your body, including your skin. Moreover, massage is a stress reliever. If you have a skin condition like rosacea that flares up due to stress, it can help keep you relaxed and free of flare-ups. However if you do have rosacea, you will want to avoid facial massages, because the increased blood flow to your face can aggravate the condition and cause a flare-up.
    2. Body wraps. Yum. The overall benefits are the same, but add skin firming and reduction of the appearance of cellulite to the list here. Wraps are a wonderful way to unwind and treat your body to an hour or so of pampering.
    3. Facials. So many to name for so many reasons. My favorite right now is a fruit acid treatment or peel. It is not a severe peel like you might have seen from a dermatologist’s office, just a series of gentle treatments that help to remove the dead skin and encourage cell rejuvenation on a faster basis. This is a marvelous way to get your face that super healthy glow as well as diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Now, who wouldn’t want that?
These are just a few of my all-time favorites, yet plenty for you to think about this week. The weather will be nice, so go ahead step outside and enjoy the sun one last time ... maybe? Then let’s get to some real skin care this fall. Have beautiful day!
