Jake is a Jack Russell terrier that is looking for a great home. He loves going for walks, playing with his ABF brothers and sisters, and playing with toys. As most Jack Russell’s, Jake is high energy. Jake bounces around like a rubber ball so he needs to be placed with an active family who will spend play time with him. Jake would likely do better with older children as he hasn’t been around toddlers or small children.
Jake is also very smart. He knows “sit” and “shake” and should be trained easily on other commands. Jack Russell’s also need mental stimulation along with the physical exercise. Some Jack Russell’s enjoy agility and I have seen some that do flyball. Jack Russell’s are known for loving to play ball and having an obsession with a tennis ball is one step toward doing flyball.
Jake is four years young, loves people and other dogs. Jack Russell’s are adventurous by nature and will take off in a moment’s notice after a squirrel or a rabbit. For safety reasons Jake will need a fenced in yard. Most dogs shouldn’t be left outside on their own for long periods of time as they can get into trouble by digging up a flower bed or even worse by digging under the fence and escaping into dangerous traffic.
Jake is a sweet boy and he would love to have a family to call his own. If you are looking for an energetic dog and think Jake might be a good fit please go to our website and complete an application.
