  • Robert Edward “Ed” Duzenberry, 66, of Blue Springs, Mo., ended his battle with cancer on Monday, June 10, 2013.

  • Robert Edward “Ed” Duzenberry, 66, of Blue Springs, Mo., ended his battle with cancer on Monday, June 10, 2013.
    Ed was born September 23, 1947, in Excelsior Springs, Mo. He attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He attended graduate school at Central Missouri State University, where he earned two Masters’ degrees. A Vietnam Veteran, Ed taught remedial reading and learning disabilities in Kearney and in Blue Springs. After completing an MBA, he held a variety of Sales and Management positions in the telecommunications, insurance and residential construction industries. Ed loved his family and his country. He was known for his sense of humor, courage and for his chili.
    He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gwen; and two daughters, Rheanne Krantz and Dr. Rachel Littrell; three grandchildren; and his brother, Steve Duzenberry. Daughter Robyn Duzenberry-Gerrity passed away in 2008.
    A small private service will be held. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Ed will be greatly missed. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.kccremation.com.
