  • Woodrow “Woody” Kehring, 75, Independence, Mo., died on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo.
    Woody was born November 28, 1937, in Glidden Wis. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force and worked for AWG for 32 years, retiring in 1996. Woody was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and 24 Hour Fitness. He was and avid hunter, fisherman and gardener and was an all around handyman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dabney Joseph.
    Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marianne; daughter, Lisa Heckman (Dan) of Valencia, Calif.; son, Christopher Kehring of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; grandchildren, Jordan and David Kehring; sister, Valerie Eineichner (Rick) of  Tomahawk, Wis.; brother, Gregory Kehring (Karen) of Plainsfield, Wis.
    Graveside services with military honors will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at Swan Lake Memorial Park, 30000 E. Valor Drive, Grain Valley, Mo. In lieu of flowers, donations made to KC Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo.
