Jackie (Jack) Lee McNeal, 72, of Independence, Mo., passed away March 24, 2010, after living a full, happy and healthy life. 

Jackie (Jack) Lee McNeal, 72, of Independence, Mo., passed away March 24, 2010, after living a full, happy and healthy life. 

Jack loved his family dearly and was always there for support.  Jack was born November 10, 1937, in Florence, Mo., to Pete Charles McNeal and Sudie Florene Stevenson, both deceased.  Jack was baptized in the First Baptist Church of Stover.  He retired from Missouri Gas Energy after 35 years of service.

Jack is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna Kay McNeal, of the home, four children, Randy Lee McNeal and wife Patricia, Susan Kay Harmon-Jarrell and husband Carl, Lori Lynn Sumler and fiancé Steve Reiss, and Bradley Alan McNeal and wife Amanda, 14 grandchildren, Charles Dewey Harmon IV, Emily Suzanne Harmon, Michelle Lee McNeal and husband Jordan Smith, Spencer Allen McNeal, Matthew Scott McNeal, Angelica Michelle Egleston, Rikki Leigh Lackey, Trenton Curtis Sumler, Tyler Steven Sumler, Kaylynn Ann Sumler, Dylan Bradley McNeal, Hannah Rose McNeal, Asher Joseph McNeal and Sierra Raylynn Reiss, and one great-grandchild, Parker Lee Smith,  two sisters, Mary Lucille Hoglan and Erma Jean Hensel, three brothers, Thomas Edward McNeal, Amel Roy McNeal, and Billy Lon McNeal. 

Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, James Ray McNeal and Charles Joseph McNeal.

Funeral service will be 2p.m., Monday, March 29, 2010, at New Salem Funeral Home.  Burial in New Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. prior to the service at New Salem chapel.
