  • My mind is rattled! It does not take much for it to get rattled but this storm on the east coast it just too much to imagine.

There has been a lot of talk about a GOD that would let that happen or a GOD that would not have stopped it. I don't think there is anything unusual about that. Think about it! We have broken every one of his laws and gone against HIS book, the Bible. In other words we do whatever we want to do and then get upset when he doesn't do what we want. I get it completely.
When my children were small and they deliberately disobeyed our rules they were punished. I think that punishments (like no driving for a month or being grounded for a month )were equally as devastating to a teenager as the storm in New York. I doubt anyone has really given that much thought.
There was a huge earthquake in Canada at about the same time as Hurricane Sandy and if I understood it right it caused a tsunami in Hawaii. I think GOD really is ticked off.
When it gets cold outside I stay home and cook, sew, knit or whatever. I did a lot of cooking and have made 5 dishrags this week.
    Paper towel
    (Serves 2)
    12 large tortilla chips
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack, cheddar or colby cheese
    3-4 tablespoons canned refried beans
    1 tablespoon chopped onions, optional
    1 small tomato, chopped
    ? cup shredded lettuce
    1/8 cup sour cream, optional
    1/8 cup sliced black olives
1/2 tablespoon jalepeno pepper, fresh or canned, optional
    Taco sauce
Place towel on microwave safe plate; arrange tortilla chips on the paper towel lined plate. Spread chips with refried beans, top with shredded cheese and chopped onions. Microwave 2-5 minutes at 50 percent (medium). Before serving, after cheese has melted, top with lettuce, tomato, olives, jalapeno pepper, taco sauce, and small dollops of sour cream.
This recipe is great for one or two people. It is simple, quick and tastes great.
I am finding that my appetite has decreased a great deal. I also learned that I forget to eat and suddenly I feel weird and have to eat something. I love bacon and this recipe is great for fast and filling.
    Bacon Sticks
10 thin bread sticks (any flavor)
5 slices of bacon (cut lengthwise)
    1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Dredge one side of bacon strip in cheese. With cheese side out, roll bacon around bread stick diagonally. Place sticks on microwave dish or paper plate lined with paper towels. Microwave on high 4 ? to 6 minutes. When done roll again in cheese. Great!
Page 2 of 2 - Elegant Krispie Bars
    6 ounces white chocolate coating
    1 cup peanut butter
    4 cups rice cereal

Combine coating and peanut butter in a 2 quart bowl and microwave on HIGH for 2-3 minutes until coating is melted, stirring twice.Add cereal and peanuts. Press into 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. Cut into squares.
