Nearly one month after its official ribbon-cutting, the community garden at Community Services League still has a few beds left for rent.

The garden, in partnership with the city of Independence Health Department, includes 32 raised beds, most of which are rented by community members or are given to CSL clients. Those who are interested in renting a bed for this growing season may contact CSL at 816-912-4493.

The garden is on city-owned land behind CSL off of Noland Road on White Oak. The garden will eventually supply summer vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, green beans, cucumbers and other warm-weather plants.
