William Chrisman (76) finished third in team standings, St. Mary’s (89) fourth, and Van Horn (95) finished fifth.

“What an incredible turn of events for the girls team from last season to now,” Fort Osage head coach Chris Earley said. “Our numbers have doubled from nine to 19 this season and it really paid off (Tuesday). We had girls running on the varsity level that have  had only one 5K race under their belt and they competed very well.  They boys are still improving as we head into the middle part of the season. The hard work is starting to pay off.”

William Chrisman was led by Tim Schaefer who finished 11th in a time of 19:00. Teammate Tristan Laughlin wasn’t far behind finishing 14th (19:26).

Mikhael Willis led the girls team with a fourth-place finish in a time of 24:42. Natalie Bang also turned in a top-10 performance finishing ninth in 27:05.
