Local basketball fans are once again being asked to help fight the “good fight” as the Fort Osage High School men’s basketball team hosts the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer/ Suit and Sneakers later this month.

The game is Friday at Fort Osage High School, 2101 N. Twyman Road.

The game was started two years ago as a way to give back to cancer research. Because this game is a fundraiser, there is a minimum $1 donation for a wall of hope. Once the donation is received, individuals will receive a sheet to write their name, or the name of someone affected by cancer. These will hang in the commons area and in the gymnasium for the entire month of February.

All proceeds will go the American Cancer Society for research. Last year, $376 was raised.

For more information or to make a donation, contact Stephanie Smith at 816-650-7019. Donations will also be accepted.
