Redbox adds kiosks

Redbox has added two rental kiosks in Independence, at the CVS Pharmacy locations at 11115 U.S. 24 and 3825 S. Noland Road. The company, which rents DVDs, has more than 21,000 locations nationwide. Each kiosk holds 630 DVDs, accounting for up to 200 titles, generally recently released movies.
 

Tastefully Simple promotes Jensen

Ameristar, employees pledge to area groups

Employees of the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City have pledged donations for several area organization. Together with matches from the company and a foundation, the pledges are just shy of a quarter of a million dollars.

Employees have pledged $128,361.74 to these groups:

$27,373.08 to Cancer Action.
  $34,450 to The Rehabilitation Institute.
  $32,000.34 to United Way charities.
  $18,071.34 to Community Health Charities.
  $16,466.98 to the Ameristar Cares Sunshine Fund, which helps Ameristar employees in emergencies.

Matching donations by the company and the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation bring the total to $229,352.17.
