Trent Matthew Vickers, 33, of Independence, Mo., passed away on May 28, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center.  

Trent was born Aug. 4, 1974, in Laconia N.H., to Larry and Gayle (Cramer) Vickers. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1993. Trent spent most of his adult life working for Kenny’s Tile & Floor Covering. While there he earned the distinction of being certified as a National Hardwood Flooring Inspector by the National Hardwood Flooring Institute, an accomplishment Trent was very proud of. Most recently he worked for The Hardwood Guy as a sales estimator. Trent was a member of the First Christian Church of Blue Springs and was also attending First Family Church of Overland Park, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.

Trent leaves behind his mother and father, Larry and Gayle Vickers as well as his brother Chadd Vickers all of Independence, Mo.; his loving wife Lori and three sons Kaden, Reese and Logan. Trent also leaves his paternal grandmother, Ima Vickers also of Independence as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 2, at First Christian Church of Blue Springs with funeral services to follow at noon. Trent will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, Mo., following funeral services. Trent’s family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the National Chrone’s and Colitis Foundation, 1034 S, Brentwood St. 120, St. Louis, Mo. 63117.
