Eric Johnson, City Administrator

Eric Johnson was appointed city administrator January 1, 2006, following the retirement of Fred Siems who served as the Blue Springs City Administrator for more than 27 years.

Prior to his appointment, he served as the assistant city administrator since July 1999.
Prior to joining the city of Blue Springs, he worked for six years for the city of Kansas City.

Johnson has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Central Missouri State University and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia where he received academic honors in 1993 when he was elected to Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Society for Public Affairs and Administration.


Todd Pelham, Assistant City Administrator

Todd Pelham was selected as the assistant city administrator in January 2006.

Pelham has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from John Brown in Arkansas, and has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The assistant city administrator is responsible for the oversight of the city’s internal service departments such as Finance, Budget, Human Resources, Information Services and City Communications. 

He is also responsible for working with the mayor and City Council to resolve various citizen issues and requests, and assists with the formation of the city’s annual capital improvements program and annual operating budget.
