Kappa Kappa Gamma will host a holiday homes tour to benefit the Community Services League. Tour hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 2. Homes on this year’s tour are all in the Ward Parkway-Mission Hills area.

Kappa Kappa Gamma will host a holiday homes tour to benefit the Community Services League. Tour hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 2.

Funds will support the League’s Work Express program, which assists in obtaining, retaining and advancing in employment. CSL also helps the low-income with emergency assistance and housing, and are located in Blue Springs, Buckner, Grain Valley, Oak Grove and Independence. Other recipients of tour funds are Higher M-Pact, DeLaSalle Education Center, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.

The Kappa Gift and Gourmet Shop, featuring gift ideas, holiday edibles and the annual Kappa ornament designed by local ceramics artist Irma Starr, will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Homestead Country Club, 6510 Mission Road, Prairie Village. Admission to the gift shop is free.

Homes on this year’s tour are all in the Ward Parkway-Mission Hills area. Advance tour tickets are $20, $25 the day of the tour. Ticket outlets are Hen House Markets; Country Club Plaza Customer Service, 4745 Central St.; Noel’s; the Fiddly Fig; Leopold Gallery; Nell Hill’s in Briarcliff Village; Webster House; Trapp & Company, and Studio Dan Meiners. They also may be purchased from local Kappas.

A preview luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at Mission Hills Country Club, and will feature Eddie Ross, a former Martha Stewart editor, who will give holiday table decorating tips and recipe ideas. The $85 cost includes a $20 tour ticket and an opportunity to tour the homes before they open to the public.
