1 To what do you attribute your academic success?
Hard work and my ability to work through analytical problems.
2 Who was your biggest influence on your studies?
My dad, perhaps the fact that he works for a pharmaceutical company sparked my interest in science and medicine.
3 What was your favorite activity in high school? Why?
Scholar Bowl because we had a great team rapport, and I learned about teamwork and as captain, leadership.
4 What college do you plan to attend and why?
Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. It has a great “small liberal arts feel,” and their science programs can challenge those of any other large private schools.
5 What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I will either pursue a career in medicine or science. For many years, I thought I was going to be a physician, but I may end up being a professor in chemistry.
