Here is a list of school lunches being served at area schools for the week beginning Jan. 5. Milk available with all lunches.

Independence elementary schools

Monday: Chicken strips/barbecue sauce, baked beans, broccoli Normandy, fruit mix. Tuesday: Fiesta pizza, steamed broccoli, pears. Wednesday: Beefy macaroni/cheese, Texas toast, peas, strawberries. Thursday: Chicken tetrazzini, tossed green salad, carrot coins, chocolate chip cookie. Friday: Chicken drumstick, roll, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, sliced peaches.


Independence secondary schools
Available daily: Cold sandwich, salads, a la carte and Grill Line.

Monday: Chicken/noodles (middle), meat comb sub (middle), deli sandwich (high), chicken leg (high), cheese sticks/marinara sauce or spicy chicken/bun, green beans, sliced apples, Rice Krispy treat. Tuesday: Soft beef taco, taco bites, stuffed crust pizza or barbecue rib/bun, mixed green salad, refried beans, orange wedges. Wednesday: Egg roll, shrimp poppers, hamburger, cheeseburger or pepperoni hot pocket, fried rice, steamed broccoli, snickerdoodle cookie. Thursday: Chili/crackers, ham/cheese pocket, chicken tenders or corn dog, veggie dippers/ranch dressing, cinnamon roll, mixed fruit. Friday: Beefy macaroni/cheese, cheese pizza, hamburger, cheeseburger or meatball grinder, tossed salad, peas/carrots, peach half.


Blue Springs schools
Available daily K-5: Peanut butter/jelly sandwich, offerings bar and fruit and vegetable bar.
Available daily 6-12: Fruit and vegetable bar, deli bar, grilled sandwich zone and sub zone.

Monday: No school. Tuesday: Ravioli/bread or jammer stick/sauce, spiced apples, corn. Wednesday: Pancake or Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, Cheddar/bacon potato, munchie mix. Thursday: Chicken nuggets or jammer stick/sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans. Friday: Pepperoni pizza or grilled cheese sandwich, tossed salad, corn.


Fort Osage schools

Monday: Beef ravioli, tossed salad/dressing, Texas toast, peas, sliced pears. Tuesday: Cheeseburger/bun, lettuce/tomato, onion/pickle, tater tots, vegetables/dip, fruit yogurt. Wednesday: Pepperoni pizza, combination salad/dressing, corn, banana. Thursday: Country fried beef steak, mashed potatoes/country gravy, roll, green beans, mixed fruit salad. Friday: Barbecue sandwich, baked french fries, baked beans, birthday cupcakes.


Grain Valley elementary schools

Monday: Chicken nuggets, macaroni/cheese, green beans, pudding pop. Tuesday: Beef/bean burrito, refried beans, mixed vegetables, peaches. Wednesday: Ravioli, breadstick, corn, orange wedges. Thursday: Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, broccoli cuts, pineapple tidbits. Friday: Pepperoni pizza, tossed salad, pears, juice bar.


Grain Valley secondary schools

Monday: Chicken nuggets or cheeseburger, special side – Macaroni/cheese. Also available: Bosco sticks. Tuesday: Beef/bean burrito or cheeseburger, special side – Refried beans. Also available: Big Daddy Pizza. Wednesday: Ravioli or cheeseburger, special side – Breadstick. Also available: Spicy chicken sandwich. Thursday: Chicken fried chicken or cheeseburger, special side – Mashed potatoes/gravy. Also available: Caesar wrap. Friday: Pepperoni pizza or cheeseburger, special side – Juice bar. Also available: Ham/cheese roll-up.


Oak Grove K-5 schools
Available daily: Assorted yogurt, peanut butter/jelly and fruit juice.

Monday: Staff professional day, no classes. Tuesday: Turkey sub club or pizza pasta bake, garden salad, chilled fruit, gelatin. Also available: Smoked turkey chef salad. Wednesday: Chicken patty or roast pork, mashed potatoes/gravy, mixed vegetables, roll. Also available: Italian chef salad. Thursday: Taco or stromboli, garden salad, chilled fruit, pineapple upside-down cake. Also available: Chef salad. Friday: Three-cheese grilled cheese sandwich, deli sub sandwich or popcorn chicken chef salad.


Oak Grove 6-12 schools
Available daily: Assorted yogurt, chef salad, salad bar, hot sandwich bar and fruit juice.

Monday: Staff professional day, no classes. Tuesday: Turkey sub club or pizza pasta bake, garden salad, chilled fruit, gelatin. Also available: Nacho bar. Wednesday: Chicken patty or roast pork, mashed potatoes/gravy, mixed vegetables, roll. Thursday: Taco or stromboli, garden salad, chilled fruit, pineapple upside-down cake. Also available: Cheeseburger bar. Friday: Three-cheese grilled cheese sandwich, deli sub sandwich or pita pizza bar.


Lee’s Summit elementary schools
Available daily: Baked potato entree, yogurt entree and peanut butter/jelly.

Monday: Beef ravioli or french toast sticks/sausage, cheesy hash brown potatoes, rosy pears. Tuesday: Cheese jammer or chicken fajitas, corn, refried beans, apple. Wednesday: Chicken fried steak or chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, peaches, orange slices. Thursday: Cheeseburger/bun or barbecue pork/bun, potato rounds, baked beans, orange slices. Friday: Nachos/cheese or hot dog/bun, seasoned broccoli, fruit cup, shape-up bar.


Lee’s Summit middle schools
Available daily: Peanut butter/jelly, assorted fruit and juice, side salads, shape-up bars and carrot sticks.

Monday: Cheeseburger/bun or cheese pizza, cheesy hash brown potatoes, tossed salad, glazed carrots. Premier entree: Popcorn chicken. Tuesday: Chicken strips/roll or sloppy Joe/bun, spicy fries, peas. Premier meal: Specialty pizza. Wednesday: Corn dog nuggets or grilled cheese, tomato soup, corn, baked chips. Premier entree: Spicy chicken. Thursday: Chicken nuggets or chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, roll. Premier entree: Specialty pizza. Friday: Chicken patty/bun or pretzel/cheese, seasoned broccoli, baked chips. Premier entree: Shrimp poppers.


Lee’s Summit high schools
Available daily: Peanut butter/jelly, cold meat sandwich, chef salad, baked potato and yogurt. Cheeseburgers available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Monday: Pizza or chicken patty/bun, cheesy hash brown potatoes, peas/carrots. Tuesday: Spaghetti and meatsauce/french bread or burrito, french fries, green beans. Wednesday: Soft chicken taco or corn dog nuggets, Spanish rice, refried beans, corn. Thursday: Chicken fried steak or turkey/noodles, mashed potatoes/gravy, seasoned broccoli, roll, fruit crisp. Friday: Cheese pizza or barbecue pork/bun, tater tots, glazed carrots.


Raytown elementary schools
Daily: Garden salad, juice drink and seconds on fruits/vegetables (except potatoes).

Monday: No school. Tuesday: Chicken tenders or corn dog, french fries, California vegetables, blue raspberry applesauce. Wednesday: Macaroni and cheese/little smokies or fish nuggets, peas, strawberries, Teddy Grahams. Thursday: Chicken twisters or taco wedges, cheesy Mexican rice, Mexicali vegetables, gelatin/fruit. Friday: Beef ravioli or Mozzarella cheese sticks, Texas toast, glazed carrots, grapes.


Raytown middle schools
Available daily: Chef salad, garden salad, pizza, deli sandwich, yogurt, juice drink and seconds on fruits/vegetables (except potatoes).

Monday: No school. Tuesday: Burrito or cheeseburger/bun, corn, mixed fruit, Dolphin crackers. Wednesday: Spicy chicken tenders or spaghetti/meatballs, biscuit, Capri vegetables, peaches. Thursday: Mozzarella sticks or hot dog, lettuce salad, broccoli, rosy applesauce. Friday: Fish sticks or quesadilla, vegetables/dip, gelatin/fruit, cookie.


Raytown high schools
Available daily: Chef salad, garden salad, yogurt, pizza, nachos, deli sandwich, juice drink and seconds on fruits/vegetables (except potatoes).

Monday: No school. Tuesday: Pizzatas, hot dog or chicken sandwich, California vegetables, pears, ice cream. Wednesday: Shrimp poppers, orange chicken or cheeseburger, fried rice, stir fry vegetables, cinnamon apples. Thursday: Chicken drummies, macaroni and cheese/little smokies or grilled chicken sandwich, garlic bread, green beans, strawberries/bananas. Friday: Barbecue pork sandwich, toasted cheese sandwich or cheeseburger, french fries, mixed vegetables, gelatin/fruit.
