A Ford F-150 pickup truck collided with a van that carried three seniors at approximately 1:45 p.m. The van was with Assisted Transportation of Kansas City, Kan.

The driver of the truck was intoxicated, according to Independence police. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. The man is expected to be cited.
