Mary Ruth Cobb Crull, 78, passed away on July 23, 2009.

She moved from Independence, Missouri to Williamsburg, Virginia in 1956. Mary had worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and Swem Library at the College of William and Mary. She was a past president of the Williams Junior Woman’s Club, member of the Peninsula Piecemakers Quilt Guild, the Virginia Consortium of Quilters, and a charter member of Colonial Piecemakers Quilt Guild. She was an avid traveler, visiting many countries around the world. Mary was a member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Charles M. Cobb of Kansas City, Mo.; son, John L. Crull and wife Mary of Portland, OR; daughter, Connie C. Moore and husband Bob of Suffolk; daughter, Gail C. Liston and husband Rick of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter, Stephanie C. Hinkle and husband Jason; great-granddaughter, Jasmine Hinkle, all of Portland, OR; grandsons, Richard Grey Liston and Russell Seth Liston of Charlotte, NC and Wilmington, NC, respectively.
