To the editor:
I believe its time for our elected officials to stop and slow down what they are doing and not vote for HR3200 and HR2454, the health-care legislation and cap-and-trade legislation.
They need to come back and hold a town hall meeting and explain, how these two pieces of legislation will affect us, the people of Missouri. I have called and e-mail both of our senators’ offices, and a staffer told me that they didn’t know if the senators were going to have a town hall meeting during the August break. I’m still waiting a response from our senators.
Our elected representatives need to stop and slow down, read the legislation before they pass the bills! Are you happy with the representation for you elected officials? Are they looking out for us? Are they looking out for themselves?
