Clarence Robert Anderson, 1937-2010, a resident of Sun City West, passed away unexpectedly August 15, 2010 after a full and successful life.

Clarence Robert Anderson, 1937-2010, a resident of Sun City West, passed away unexpectedly August 15, 2010 after a full and successful life.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Ruth; his son Bradd, daughter-in-law Deidre and granddaughter Ellery; his daughter Jennifer and granddaughter Olivia; and his son Jay, daughter-in-law Diana and grandson Jacob.

A native of Beardstown, Ill., Bob was a second generation member of the Community of Christ Church and an alumni of Graceland College.  His roles included service as a Cub Scout Master, Associate Pastor, Junior Achievement youth program, Rotary Club and Chambers of Commerce. Bob spent the bulk of his working years in the wholesale plumbing industry, with roles including office manager, sales manager and 22 years as an operations manager. In his retirement he volunteered for over five years on the Sun City West Sheriff’s Posse, serving three of those years on the Board of Directors.

Bob Anderson was a loyal friend, a courageous protector, a selfless and generous giver and a peacemaker.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Community of Christ, Beacon Heights located at 19402 E. Holke Rd, Independence, Mo. 64057 (816-796-7033).  

In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to Outreach International or the Thunderbird West Congregation Audio Visual Fund.
