The Rivalry Run 5K is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Saturday. The race begins in front of the Sprint Center on Grand Street between 13th and 14th street.

Missouri and Kansas fans will put their rivalry on the line Aug. 28.

The Rivalry Run 5K is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Saturday. The race begins in front of the Sprint Center on Grand Street between 13th and 14th street.

Runners are encouraged to represent their state and their side of the classic rivalry.

The race brings the two sides together for a cause raising funds to boost awareness and prevent domestic voilence in the Kansas City community.

Entry costs $30 per person if pre-registered before Aug. 26 and $35 on race day.

Packet pickup is 4-7 p.m. on Aug. 26-27 at Johnny’s Tavern in the Power and Light District.

There is also a late packet pickup and registration from 7-7:30 a.m. on Aug. 28.

Runners can earn additional points for their state for every $25 donated or raised through personal fundraising efforts (up to 20 additional points).
