The game: Fort Osage faces one of its toughest openers in several years when the Indians meet the Class 6 Broncos Friday. … Ty Kohl begins his second season as the Lee’s Summit North coach and Ryan Schartz his sixth at Fort Osage. … The Indians are 40-8 the last four years, including 13-1 in 2009 when they fell to Webster Groves in the Class 5 state championship game. Fort Osage enters ranked fourth in the Class 5 preseason state poll.
