Meet the 33rd president at a special Labor Day event at the Harry S. Truman Library and museum.


Re-enactor Niel Johnson will be at the library, 500 W. U.S. 24, Independence, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m on Monday, Sept. 5.


Johnson was an archivist and oral historian at the Truman Library from 1977 to 1992. He is also the author of "Power, Money and Women: Words to the Wise from Harry S. Truman"


The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and older, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and younger.
