The Missouri Youth Leadership Forum will be July 25-28 at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The forum is for high school students, age 16 to 21, who have a disability. Prospective youth delegates are selected through a competition and have demonstrated leadership potential.

Students who qualify can apply for the Missouri Youth Leadership Forum.

Many MYLF alumni and staff will return to serve as mentors and team members of the 2010 youth delegates by sharing their knowledge about leadership principles, disability experience and resource sharing, assistive technology, development and achievement of career goals, independent living and developing advocacy skills.

This framework provides an atmosphere of encouragement, helping youth realize their ability and pursuing a successful transition from high school to college, employment and becoming contributing members of their communities.
