Thelma M. Lamison, 82, of Turney, MO passed away January 28, 2009 at a nursing home in Cameron, MO.

 

Thelma M. Lamison, 82, of Turney, MO passed away January 28, 2009 at a nursing home in Cameron, MO.

She retired from the Lake City Ammunition Plant in Kansas City, MO. Born on November 8, 1926, in Ulysses, Kansas to Walter and Maybelle Baker Gibson, she had previously lived in Independence, Kansas City, Bates City, and Cameron, MO before moving to Turney in 2001.

She married Charles H. Lamison on February 1, 1948 in Hamilton, MO. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brother, Tom; daughter, Ruth; and grandson, Jesse.

Thelma was a longtime Christian and spent her final years as a member of the First Baptist Church, Cameron, MO. Thelma valued the differences of each of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments.

Survivors include sons, Charles (Kathrine) Lamison of Turney, MO, Paul (Becky) Lamison of Independence, MO; sister, Dorothy Linville of Hamilton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 2, at the First Baptist Church in Cameron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Friends may call at Bram Funeral Home on Sunday, February 1, from noon until 3 p.m.
