    The NHL lockout will continue, and games are cancelled through the end of November, it was reported Friday. The hockey league set a Thursday deadline for a new collective bargaining agreement, but the players union didn’t agree to the deal. The league’s 82-game schedule is now not possible.

    “The management committee decided not to award victories to any other rider or upgrade other placings in any of the affected events.” – Statement Friday from the International Cycling Union on what would be done with the Tour de France winners list after Lance Armstrong was stripped of his titles because of doping allegations. Armstrong won the Tour de France from 1998-2005.
