Another a few days with several rounds of thunderstorms are coming, possibly starting tonight.
For tonight, the heaviest storms are expected in northwest Missouri, but some could make their way to the metro area. The chance of rain tonight is 20 percent. It’s possible some of the storms could be severe.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms picks up Saturday, mainly after 1 p.m. The weather will be unstable, and there’s the risk of some severe storms – even supercells – creating large hail and straight-line winds. The chance of rain is 50 percent, then 70 percent in the evening.
The chance of rain is 40 percent Sunday, increases to 60 percent Sunday night and lingers at 30 percent Monday. Rainfall could be locally heavy.
It’s expected to stay warm throughout this shifting weather, with a low tonight of 73, then a high of 87 and a low of 70 Saturday, then 85/68 Sunday and 84/64 Monday. Clear and moderate weather returns Tuesday, with highs in the low 80s for a couple of days.
