Dorothy Ballew does public relations for American Legion Post 21 in Independence.

Projects are under way at the American Legion to support our veterans and troops.

The Auxiliary is undertaking a project; Pajama Pants Drive to support the wounded troops.

When wounded they are sent straight to the combat hospitals with only the clothes on their backs.

The pajama pants are preferred to wear during their recuperation.

If you would like to donate to this wonderful cause, you may drop off new men’s pajama pants in the lobby of the Post home.  The following specifications are requested:  Men’s sizes large – 2XL, washable and dryable, colors should be dark or bold (no pastels or all red and only prints suitable for men, please).

You know it is not too early to be thinking about Valentine’s Day and do we have a deal for you….  Buffet Dinner and Elvis.  Advanced Tickets Required – Reserved Seating.

Dinner and Show is only $17.50  per person.  For more details call 373-0221.  Hope to see you!
