Billy F. Tetlow, 71, of Lake Lotawana passed away on May 24, 2009 at home. 

Billy was born September 7, 1937 to Jesse and Vivien Tetlow of Keytesville, Mo., and was the sixth of eight children.  Billy was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, three brothers:  Charles, Ralph, and Robert Tetlow, and a nephew. He is survived by three brothers and their wives:  Tyson and Lillian Tetlow of Independence; Dale and Barbara Tetlow of Stanwood, WA; and John and Linda Haston of Keytesville; a sister and husband, Anna and Gene Brown of Raytown; two sisters-in-law, Gerry Tetlow of Raytown and Charlotte Tetlow of Pleasant Hill. Billy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends and acquaintances.

Billy began his education at the Cross Roads country school and graduated from Keytesville School in 1955. After graduation, Billy worked in the Kansas City area until January 19, 1958, when he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He served honorably and was discharged June 20, 1962. After completing his enlistment, Bill worked at Western Electric in Lee’s Summit until his retirement.  During retirement, Billy enjoyed life. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 at Charter Funerals, 5000 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Kansas City, Mo. Graveside services and interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Salem Cemetery, 24 Highway and Blue Mills Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
