She was born August 20, 1920 to Clarence and Hazel Myres. Olive was a member of Eastgate Christian Church, Independence, Mo. She was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 56 years, Benton F. Also preceding her in death were her two beloved sisters, Orah Elizabeth Ebling and Mary Katherine Lemen, and three brothers, Kenneth Myres, Donald Myres and Roger Myres.

First and foremost Olive was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will always be cherished as such. Olive’s devotion to her family and friends effected many lives and she leaves a legacy of love to all her large family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

After her husband’s death, Olive spent 12 years at the Fountains in Independence, Mo., enjoying many valued friendships. The family wishes to express the deepest appreciation to the staff of St. Mary’s Manor, Blue Springs, for love and devoted care of Olive during the past four years and to Crossroads Hospice for their comforting care.
