Michelle Kay Eads-Shelley, 60, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Michelle Kay Eads-Shelley, 60, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Kansas City Hospice House.


She was born to Raymond and Lavinia (Conrow) Eads on January 8, 1952, in Lexington, Mo. They preceded her in death. Michelle was united into marriage on August 26, 2006, to William “Clyde” Shelley in Las Vegas, Nev. She received her nursing degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. Michelle spent the majority of her working years at St. Mary’s Hospital as an Operating Room nurse. She is Methodist by faith.


Michelle is survived by her husband, William “Clyde” Shelley of Blue Springs, Mo.; daughter, Brianna Hilker of Grain Valley, Mo.; son, Derek Hilker of Independence, Mo.; stepchildren, Todd Shelley (Emily Robb) of Leawood, Kan., Marc Shelley (Kirstin McCudden) of Geneva, Switzerland, and Meagan Berry of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Brian Eads of Lexington, Mo.; and grandchildren, MyKayla Rose and Aleena.


The family will receive friends at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main Street, Blue Springs, from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington, Mo. Graveside service and burial will take place 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Clarks Chapel Cemetery, Boone County, Mo.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
