The Missouri Comets completely bounced back from a disastrous start Friday night at Wichita and it still wasn’t enough as the Comets fell to the Wings 12-10 at Intrust Bank Arena.

Wichita raced to an 8-0 lead in the first period, but the Comets (8-6) tallied four goals in the second and pulled to within 10-8 by halftime. John Sosa, Geison, Leo Gibson and Neto tallied the second-period scores with Neto, Frederico Moojen and Vahid Assadpour recording assists.

The Comets then tied the score at the 12:15 mark of the final quarter when Byron Alvarez scored on an assist from Chrstiano Diaz. But just over a minute later, Edvin Worley buried an unassisted score to provide the Wings (4-7) with the winning score.

The Comets are off until next Friday when they travel to take on the Central Division-leading Milwaukee Wave (8-0).
