  • Richmond Forbis continues to enjoy a banner season in boys soccer.
    He scored all three goals to lift his season’s total to 20 and pace host Fort Osage to a 3-2 nonconference home victory over Summit Christian Academy Monday night. C.J. Chavez had two assists.
    “We battled and struggled at some points,” Fort Osage coach Andrew Fletcher said. “Matt Summey played really good in goal and we got away with the win.”
    The Indians are 8-5-1.
    VAN HORN 3, MARANATHA ACADEMY 1: Abi Lopez scored two goals and Maria Morales had two assists to lead visiting Van Horn to the Crossroads Conference victory Monday.
    Michael Payne scored the other goal for the Falcons (4-11-4, 1-5). Luis Rodriguez was credited with the other assist.
    “We played a complete game,” Van Horn coach Greg McGhee said.
    Van Horn led 1-0 at halftime.
    RAYMORE-PECULIAR 2, BLUE SPRINGS SOUTH 0: The Panthers scored goals in the 40th and 41st minutes to send the Jaguars to their sixth consecutive Suburban Big Six defeat. South stands at 6-8 overall.
    TRUMAN 5, ST. JOSEPH CENTRAL 1: Christian Villa scored two goals and Zach Felz and Greger Dalheim one goal and assisted on another as Truman posted a Suburban Middle Six victory at Central Monday night. Brady Cameron scored one goal. Dalheim’s goal came on a penalty kick.
    “We were extremely shorthanded tonight but still played a great game,” Truman coach Jared Byrne said. “The guys came out early and created chances with our defensive pressure.”
    A 3-0 halftime lead assured Truman (10-6, 4-3) of the victory.
