    HONORS: Valedictorian; named to the Principal’s Honor Roll through high school; received the Citizenship Award, the Social Studies Department Award, the United States Achievement Academy Excellence in History Award and an AP Scholar Award; Academic Letter recipient; Bright Flight Scholar; Missouri Scholars 100 Honorable Mention; named “Most Likely to Succeed;” received the Bank of Grain Valley Scholarship, Curators’ Scholarship and Founder’s Award/Scholarship and member of the National Honor Society.
    ACTIVITIES: President of the Student Council; president of the Psychology Club; member of the Leadership Committee; member of the Varsity Academic Bowl Team, Freshman Transition Team, Youth Advisory Council and Book Club; member of the Prom Committee; member of the Starz Competitive Dance Troupe and the Starz Elite Company Team; participated in Medical Explorers through Truman Medical Center; volunteer at St. Mary’s Medical Center; tutor and Relay for Life Hope Dancer.
    What advice do you have for next year’s freshmen?
    I advise freshmen to challenge themselves academically, get involved in school activities and sign up for psychology. Additionally, they should use their manners.
    Who was your favorite teacher and why?
    Ms. Baker is my favorite teacher because she is also my favorite person.
    When you were not in school or studying, what did you most enjoy doing?
    I enjoyed wondering about magical things such as dividing by zero, eyeballs, and DNA replication. I also liked to hang out with friends.
    What college do you plan to attend and why?
    My plan is to attend Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. or the University of Missouri-Kansas City because they will prepare me for medical school.
    What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
    As a medical school graduate, I will be working on my residency and planning a trip to Skopelos. lf my career objectives change, hopefully, I will still be planning a trip to Skopelos.
